Trauma happens in relationships and it heals in relationships too. Normally in a therapeutical relationship, where we are in a sort of lab, where we test how we can feel safe to be our authentic selves in a relationship with a safe other, where we understand ourselves better, uncover and release patterns, learn skills and then we test it in real life and witness how that affects our emotional, physical, mental and even spiritual health. We all carry trauma. Or maybe better to say: it is extremely rare to find a person that does not have any trauma stored in their body and emotional and psychological responses linked to it.
